According to Pan Zhu Huarong, the Chairman of ChangAn Automobile, the automotive industry is transitioning into the "second half of intelligence," where the triumph of a company will hinge on achievements in intelligence, globalization, and energy diversification—the three cornerstones of ChangAn's strategy. As the landscape evolves, ChangAn is dedicated to boldly advancing towards a smart society powered by low-carbon mobility technology.

The Shangri-La Mission

The Shangri-La Mission focuses on new energy vehicles and is rapidly progressing. To cater to a diverse clientele across the vast global market, ChangAn has introduced electric vehicle brands such as AVATR, DEEPAL, and CHANG-AN, launching 22 new energy models to date. This has been bolstered by over 400 breakthroughs in three key technological areas: batteries, motors, and electronic control systems. Notably, the Golden Shield battery technology enables rapid charging from 30% to 80% in under 10 minutes—a groundbreaking leap in electric vehicle technology. Moreover, the new BlueCore 3.0 unified drive system enhances the driving range of electric vehicles, while two-motor systems in plug-in hybrids promise seamless transitions between hybrid and extended range modes.

ChangAn collaborates closely with CATL to innovate semiconductor batteries and promote recycling, thereby enriching its new energy ecosystem.

The Dubhe 2.0 Plan

This plan aims to achieve intelligent connectivity, supported by a dedicated R&D team of 5,000 experts. In 2020, ChangAn achieved 100% intelligent connectivity across its entire product lineup, unveiling more than 20 advanced technologies. Among these are the intelligent drive system TS, the intelligent cockpit TY, and the intelligent chassis TH, which features innovations including on-the-spot 180-degree turning and autonomous parking capabilities. The intelligent drive system on the ChangAn SDA platform is equipped with collision prevention technologies compatible with adverse weather conditions and advanced night vision capabilities. Also, ChangAn has established strategic partnerships with leading tech firms to harness world-class resources for developing new energy brands.

The Great Ocean Plan

The Great Ocean Plan has led to accelerated global sales, surpassing 536,000 vehicles in 2024, placing ChangAn among the top three in the industry. The company has expanded its reach with six subsidiaries across Thailand, Mexico, and Germany, and operates nine KD factories, which handle complete vehicle assembly on-site. A key milestone will be the upcoming launch of ChangAn Auto Thailand, marking its first international base for new energy vehicle production.

With the Great Ocean Plan initiated in 2023, ChangAn has held 22 regional brand conferences, entered 11 new markets, and established 750 new channels, expanding its global presence to over 9,000 locations.
