Innovations in Wireless Technology and Satellite Connectivity at MWC Shanghai 2025
In a world increasingly reliant on cutting-edge technology,
Tongyu Communication Inc. showcased its latest innovations at the
MWC Shanghai 2025 event. The company's flagship offering,
MacroWiFi, represents a significant leap forward in large-area WiFi coverage solutions. Alongside this, Tongyu presented five key categories of satellite communication products aimed at enhancing satellite-terrestrial connectivity.
One of the key focuses of the event was the growing significance of satellite communications as globalization accelerates digital transformations. Tongyu's innovative solutions integrate technologies from Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geostationary Orbit (GEO) satellites, ensuring reliable and efficient connectivity across various applications, including maritime navigation, aerial communication, emergency response, and operations in remote areas. By establishing a production base in
Hubei, China, and investing in satellite businesses through joint ventures and industrial funds, Tongyu is strategically strengthening its capabilities in satellite payloads, ground stations, and terminal solutions for commercial applications.
Tongyu’s
Vice President, Winnie Wu, emphasized the company's commitment to developing comprehensive solutions that encompass onboard payloads, ground stations, and satellite terminals. The technology has seen successful applications in experimental satellites for internet access and has integrated into the supply chains of leading international operators. Wu remarked, “As a key player in the global communication technology innovation, Tongyu continues to drive significant technological advancements, showcasing our industry-leading expertise.”
A hallmark of innovation, Tongyu aims to redefine industry standards. Earlier this year, the company introduced
MacroWiFi, utilizing high-gain antennas and long-range transmission protocols to deliver WiFi coverage extending from
1.5 to 2 kilometers. Pilot projects are currently underway in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, Tongyu has launched a low-altitude antenna that ensures seamless coverage from ground level up to
600 meters, facilitating applications such as drone logistics and emergency communications, while also supporting common cellular networks.
By enhancing operational efficiency and promoting the development of low-altitude economies, Tongyu's innovations are set to create new opportunities for growth and collaboration across various sectors. With a foundation rooted in research, development, and manufacturing of mobile communication antennas and RF devices since its inception in 1996, Tongyu has cultivated a robust global presence with production facilities in China and subsidiaries in Europe and other regions.
