Exciting New Ramen Concept Opens in Tokyo's Meguro: JINRUI MINA MAZESOBA

JINRUI MINA MAZESOBA Opens in Tokyo’s Meguro

The popular mixed noodle brand, JINRUI MINA MAZESOBA, has made a grand entrance into Tokyo, setting up shop inside the cultural hub, BASECAMP MEGURO in Meguro. Known for its unique ramen offerings, UNCHI Co., founded in Osaka, aims to deliver a novel culinary experience to Tokyoites with its opening scheduled for October 2025. Located just a five-minute walk from Meguro Station, this new establishment has quickly become a must-visit spot for food lovers in the area.

An Artistic Blend of Flavors

At the heart of the JINRUI MINA MAZESOBA menu is its signature dish, the JINRUI MINA MAZESOBA, priced at 990 yen (tax included). This dish combines a special soy sauce with hearty whole wheat noodles, offering a delightful mix of textures and flavors. It features sweet onions, fragrant chives, diced bamboo shoots, and delicate julienned green onions, all topped with a melt-in-your-mouth thick pork belly. This dish is perfect for those new to mixed noodles and promises an addictive taste sensation.

The menu offers a range of innovative options, including the 'Nandono Hentetsu mo Naisoba,' which lets the flavor of the noodles shine through at just 660 yen, and 'JINRUI MINA Nippon,' which is a refreshing mix of ume (plum) and shiso leaves, priced at 1,160 yen. For those in search of something spicy, the 'JINRUI MINA Kankoku' combines kimchi and Korean seaweed, also at 1,160 yen.

A Journey from Osaka to Tokyo

JINRUI MINA MEN, the precursor to this new endeavor, opened in Osaka in April 2012 and has since captured the hearts (and appetites) of ramen enthusiasts. Renowned for its rich, thick pork belly and unique homemade noodles, this venue has drawn long lines, especially on weekends. Popularized through YouTube as one of Osaka's must-visit ramen spots, JINRUI MINA MEN has set high expectations for its new Tokyo counterpart.

A Visionary Behind the Brand

Takaaki Matsumura, the CEO of UNCHI Co., expressed his aspirations through a mission statement that emphasizes the transformative power of ramen in the world. Matsumura has expanded his flagship brand and others like 'Kuso Oyaji Last Flake' and 'World's Most Boring Ramen Shop' internationally since 2018. They now operate in several countries, including the US, China, and Nepal, and expanded their franchise business even during the challenging times of the pandemic.

Furthermore, Matsumura’s philanthropic efforts are commendable; he personally traveled to war-torn Ukraine in November 2022 to help develop a new ramen dish in collaboration with Nissin Foods to provide comfort to the locals.

Future Aspirations

In Matsumura’s own words, he has a dream of one day opening a ramen shop on Mars. This lofty goal may sound outlandish, but through UNCHI's mission, he hopes to inspire others to consider their dreams and build excitement around innovative food adventures.
