The approval includes access to 240 MHz of spectrum in the 700 MHz, 2.3 GHz, and 3.6 GHz bands. This regulatory approval indicates a strategic boon for Viettel, allowing the company to leverage its technological expertise to enhance connectivity and digital service delivery in the country.

Currently, Viettel has operational networks across 10 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Among these, it has successfully established itself as a market leader in mobile subscribers in several regions. Demonstrating robust growth, Viettel reported international revenues of $3.34 billion in 2025, reflecting a remarkable increase of 23.9% from the previous year. This sustained growth trajectory highlights the company's solidified international foothold and operational success.

Furthermore, Viettel’s international capabilities have earned it acclaim, as the company recently secured 30 awards at the International Business Awards 2026, with 21 awards specifically for its foreign operations. This recognition further solidifies Viettel’s status as a prominent player not just in Vietnam but globally.

As Viettel prepares to initiate its operations within the Dominican Republic, the company aims to marry innovation with investment to bolster the local telecommunications landscape. The upcoming signing of the concession contract within 90 days promises to be a pivotal moment in establishing Viettel’s commitment to the Dominican people, propelling the nation toward enhanced digital inclusion.
