A Record-Breaking Show

Building upon the success of the initial drone show introduced in 2024, which attracted huge crowds and garnered widespread praise, Redcliff has decided to significantly ramp up the scale this year. The previous show utilized 500 drones, but this time, the count has been boosted to an unprecedented 888 drones. This enormous increase promises a richer visual experience and more intricate choreography in the night sky.

In addition to the spectacular show, there will also be a special collaboration with the popular comedy duo, Kamaichi. This partnership has led to creative and humorous content that blends the essence of comedy with cutting-edge drone technology. The second half of the show will feature unique performances produced by Kamaichi, making it a collaborative masterpiece aimed at enchanting the audience.

A Story Inspired by Mythology

The theme for this year's drone show revolves around the mythological tales associated with Lake Shinji. The show is meticulously designed to narrate a story through stunning visual displays featuring iconic creatures from Japanese folklore, such as the boar, dog, and the legendary Yamata no Orochi, a serpent-like monster known for its eight heads and tails.

What makes the Yamata no Orochi figure particularly exciting is the incorporation of advanced “flash modules,” which boast brightness up to six times greater than conventional LED lights. This enhancement will ensure that the legendary creature appears gripping and awe-inspiring in the night sky, creating a truly immersive spectacle.

Additionally, the new logo of the Matsue Suigosai, the breathtaking “Akane” sunset selected as one of Japan's top sunsets, as well as various landmarks and specialties from Shimane Prefecture and Matsue City, will also be vividly depicted through drones. Renowned director Kudo Shin-ichi, who thrives in various fields such as commercials, music videos, and films, is in charge of the overall visual direction, creating a 15-minute journey that immerses viewers in the narrative.

Collaboration with Kamaichi

Acting as a bridge between traditional festivities and modern technology, the collaboration with Kamaichi enriches the show’s thematic fabric. Their participation traces back to the previous year's drone show, which left a lasting impression on member Kenji Yamauchi, sparking the joy of collaboration. Elements of their comedic genius will enhance the later part of the performance, making it a unique blend of humor and high-tech entertainment.
