Majisemi Joins ITmedia Group
On April 1, Majisemi Inc., a company specializing in B2B webinar services based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, transferred 100% of its shares to ITmedia Group, a publicly traded company on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Under the leadership of CEO Yuichi Terada, Majisemi’s integration with ITmedia will enhance its capabilities and reach by leveraging ITmedia’s extensive media membership base.
Adapting to the Age of Generative AI
The rise of generative AI is transforming how businesses gather information and approach marketing strategies. As companies shift from traditional search engines and advertisements to AI-generated content, the flow of traffic to corporate websites is evolving. This change is pushing businesses to explore new methods for acquiring leads that do not rely solely on search traffic or paid advertising.
In this landscape, webinars have emerged as a pivotal marketing strategy that allows companies to engage directly with potential customers, forging meaningful connections. Webinars hosted by Majisemi, particularly those tapping into ITmedia's member base, are expected to provide a stable lead acquisition channel during the generative AI era. As businesses increasingly seek direct communication with leads, the role of webinars as a critical marketing tool has never been more pronounced.
A Robust Membership Base
Majisemi boasts a strong track record, having conducted over 1,000 webinars annually and thoroughly supporting enterprises in planning, attracting participants, and executing webinars. With a membership base exceeding 200,000, it primarily focuses on assisting B2B marketing efforts, particularly in technology sectors.
On the other hand, ITmedia operates numerous specialized media channels across sectors such as manufacturing, IT management, and back-office support, collectively reaching about 2 million members. By integrating Majisemi into its group, ITmedia will bolster webinar attendee acquisition efforts. This fusion of media and webinars will enhance marketing support for businesses, allowing for more robust lead generation and securing business negotiations.
Merging for Synergy
Majisemi’s branding and services will continue unchanged under the supervision of Yuichi Terada as CEO. To streamline operations following the acquisition, a merger is set to take place on April 1, 2026, absorbing the Open Source Utilization Institute into Majisemi. This merger aims to unify decision-making processes and enhance the value provided to customers without altering existing agreements.
