BIPROGY Group Achieves Top Rating in CDP Supplier Engagement Assessment

BIPROGY Group's Remarkable Achievement in CDP Evaluation

BIPROGY Group has recently earned the prestigious status of 'Supplier Engagement Leader' in the 2025 Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA) conducted by CDP, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting global environmental disclosure. This recognition marks the first time that BIPROGY has attained this top rating, which is a testament to their robust efforts in addressing climate change within their supply chain. This achievement follows their earlier acknowledgment as an 'A List' company in the 'CDP Climate Change' ranking announced in December 2025.

BIPROGY's Commitment to Climate Change Initiatives

With a firm belief in sustainability, the BIPROGY Group has established clear objectives to enhance both environmental and social outcomes. Their purpose statement emphasizes the intention to harness technology's potential through foresight and insight, aiming to create a sustainable society. Out of the five key areas of materiality they focus on, two stand out: promoting environmental contributions and reducing the ecological impact associated with business activities, and ensuring sustainable procurement and provision of safe products and services across the entire value chain. To this end, BIPROGY has set stringent greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction targets—including Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions—and is making steady progress towards achieving these goals.

Collaborative Efforts with Suppliers for GHG Reduction

Recognizing the importance of collaboration, the BIPROGY Group has initiated individual meetings with suppliers starting in the 2024 fiscal year, focusing on the continuous dialogue about climate change responses and the need for sustainable supply chains. These discussions serve as a platform for both BIPROGY and its suppliers to share insights on climate action, fostering cooperation aimed at reducing GHG emissions.

BIPROGY Group is committed to advancing environmental contributions throughout its supply chain and remains dedicated to creating social value by effectively addressing sustainability-related risks and opportunities.

Understanding CDP

CDP operates the world’s only independent environmental information disclosure system. Approximately 22,100 companies globally, including around 2,100 in Japan, respond to CDP's inquiries. The CDP assesses various dimensions like climate change, deforestation, water security, plastics, and biodiversity, requiring companies to provide comprehensive disclosures. This initiative serves as a significant benchmark for firms aiming to integrate climate change risks and opportunities into their strategic frameworks, thus ensuring transparency for investors and clients, which can influence investment and procurement decisions.

About the Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA)

The SEA evaluates how effectively companies collaborate with suppliers to tackle climate change challenges. It assesses responses to climate-related questions in CDP's questionnaires, focusing on four core aspects: corporate governance, goal-setting, Scope 3 emissions, and value-chain engagement.
