Josh Goyne Takes Leadership Role at Branch
In a recent announcement, Branch, an employee-owned construction company recognized for its impactful contributions in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States, named Josh Goyne as its new Chief Executive Officer effective August 17, 2026. Goyne, who brings a wealth of experience from the construction sector, particularly in infrastructure and operational leadership, will guide the company towards sustained growth and excellence.
With more than 25 years of expertise under his belt, Goyne has amassed significant knowledge in the highway, rail, underground, and renewable energy construction domains. His career highlights include over 15 years in senior and regional management roles, where he has overseen large-scale construction operations while optimizing performance and nurturing teams. His strategic vision aligns well with Branch’s mission to enhance both local and wider community infrastructures.
Ron Oakley, the Chairman of the Board at Branch, praised Goyne’s holistic understanding of the construction industry, stating that, “Josh combines field experience with operational discipline and strategic insight, which we believe will be instrumental as we advance.” He emphasized Goyne’s commitment to empowering employee-owners and ensuring that organizational decisions keep clients and communities at the heart of its strategy.
Prior to joining Branch, Goyne held pivotal leadership roles in several major infrastructure and construction firms. Notably, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Lane Construction, where he led a critical turnaround of a $1.2 billion operation encompassing diverse sectors. His tenure at Webber, a Ferrovial company, further solidified his reputation as a leader focused on impressive project delivery and an unyielding drive for operational consistency.
Goyne’s previous positions at AUI Contractors, Austin Bridge & Road, and Kiewit Construction provided him a comprehensive exposure to the multifaceted nature of construction management, contributing significantly to his operational prowess. “Branch is built upon a strong reputation and a culture of ownership with a remarkable team of employee-owners,” said Goyne. In terms of academic qualifications, Goyne holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. He has also completed an intensive Global Management Program at ESADE Business School, further enhancing his leadership skill set.
As he steps into his role as CEO, Goyne is poised to steer Branch's strategic initiatives while expanding its capabilities and footprint in the construction landscape.
