Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics Results
The excitement surrounding the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics is reaching new heights as the Japanese football team has successfully moved to the next stage! This achievement is particularly momentous, considering it is the first time in Deaflympics history that Japan has progressed beyond the group stage.
One of the standout performances was delivered by Takizawa Ryoto, a promising athlete from Tokyo Power Technology, who has been selected as a newcomer for the 2026 fiscal year. As part of the starting team in the second group stage match against Mexico, his contributions were critical, leading Japan to a spectacular 7-0 victory. Ryoto showcased his exceptional dribbling skills and dedication during the match, firmly establishing his presence on the field and playing an essential role in securing the win.
Tokyo Power Technology, a company based in Koto, Tokyo, is committed to supporting its athletes and promoting diversity and inclusion (D&I). Under the leadership of President Motohashi Jun, the firm firmly believes that a variety of perspectives and experiences can foster new value creation. As a part of these initiatives, the company has been actively supporting athletes with hearing impairments, with Ryoto being a prime example.
After the match, Takizawa expressed his gratitude to the supporters: "Thank you all for your encouragement! Thanks to your support, we were able to advance to the group stage of the Deaflympics for the first time in history. Personally, I had chances to score but couldn't convert them, which leaves me with some regret. However, I promise to deliver results for the team in our next match, so please continue to support us!"
