Kia America Achieves Remarkable Sales Growth

Kia America has marked its eighth consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth, demonstrating the brand's significant momentum in the automotive market. In May alone, the company delivered 79,007 vehicles, representing a 5% increase compared to the same month last year. This achievement reinforces Kia's position as a rapidly growing player in the industry.

Key Highlights of May Sales Performance

The company's sales figures reveal notable contributions from various models. The Carnival multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) saw a spectacular surge in sales, climbing 68% year-over-year. Moreover, popular SUVs such as the Telluride and Sportage posted increases of 12% and 10%, respectively. The sporty K4 sedan also achieved a growth of 4%, showcasing its appeal among consumers.

As Eric Watson, the Vice President of Sales Operations at Kia America, stated, “Our competitive edge continues to strengthen with eight months of consistent sales growth. The increasing interest in our diverse powertrain options, including internal combustion engines (ICE), hybrid models, and fully electric vehicles (EVs), has been pivotal to our success. Models like the Telluride, Sportage, Carnival, and K4 have emerged as key players in driving our sales forward.”

Exciting New Additions to the Lineup

Looking ahead, Kia America anticipates further growth as the much-anticipated 2026 EV9 Nightfall Edition and EV9 GT-Line are now available in showrooms nationwide. These new electric SUVs feature a striking two-tone roof design along with enhancements that improve both driving range and overall performance. As consumer demand for electric vehicles continues to rise, Kia aims to meet these expectations while expanding its market share.
