On October 19, 2025, the vibrant neighborhood of Shimokitazawa will come alive with music as ONLIVE Studio collaborates with the Japan Artist Association to present a free live event titled 'Shimokitazawa SOUND ON LIVE!'. This festival is dedicated to supporting artists and celebrating the rich culture of music.

What to Expect

Taking place at the open space in Shimokitazawa, this event will feature live performances primarily focused on solo acoustic acts. Both amateur and professional musicians are welcome to come together, perform, and connect with industry professionals, including producers and sound engineers. It's a fantastic opportunity for creatives at any level to showcase their talent in front of an audience eager to enjoy music.

Additionally, for those who cannot attend in person, the event will be broadcasted later through the audience-participatory media platform, Mudia. This ensures that music lovers from all over can experience the creativity shared on stage.

Artist Call!

Are you a singer-songwriter? We are looking for passionate artists to perform live! If you play acoustic sets that include at least two songs (one original and one cover), we encourage you to sign up. Regardless of age or genre, as long as you love the cultural vibe of Shimokitazawa, your application is welcome! Direct feedback from music professionals is also an added perk, as they will listen to your set and provide insights on your songwriting journey.

Registration Information

If you wish to apply to perform, please note the following requirements:

• - Perform a set of two songs, which must include an original and a cover.
• - Your performance should involve an instrument such as a guitar or keyboard (solo or accompanied).
• - A love for the unique culture of Shimokitazawa is essential.

Make sure to register as a member of both ONLIVE Studio and Mudia, as applications are accepted from August 22 to September 8, 2025. In case of high interest, a lottery will decide the performers.
