Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu Hosts the Kisarazu Running Club for Employees and Customers

Kisarazu Running Club Returns to Mitsui Outlet Park

Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu, managed by Mitsui Fudosan Commercial Management, is set to host the second installment of the "Kisarazu Running Club" on March 6, 2025. This unique event aims to showcase the appeal of the facility not just to customers but also to its employees, reinforcing a sense of community and shared experience.

Event Overview

Launched on October 25, 2024, the Kisarazu Running Club invites shop staff from various brands to join customers in running through the outlet after hours. For its second event, the club saw an increased turnout with over 100 participants. The success is partly due to the desire of the Operations Center at Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu to bring employees together and promote the brands they represent, demonstrating the charm of late-night shopping and supporting recruitment efforts for the stores involved.

To enhance the experience, a 1.4 km running course was set up within the beautifully lit outlet, with participants treated to complimentary drinks and food from kitchen trucks, including meat buns and pudding. The serene evening atmosphere, complemented by sparkling shop windows and a beautifully lit Ferris wheel, provided a fantastic backdrop for the runners.

A Diverse Participation

The Kisarazu Running Club attracted participants from a wide range of categories - including sports brands, apparel, accessories, and food outlets - allowing everyone to enjoy their running pace while engaging with colleagues and customers alike. The event successfully surpassed the first installment in participation numbers and fostered a vibrant community spirit among athletes of all ages.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, the third Kisarazu Running Club is planned for July 2025, coinciding with the expansion of the outlet, which will see the addition of around 30 new stores, bringing the total to approximately 330, making it one of Japan's largest outlet shopping destinations.

Special Collaboration with Runtrip

Additionally, the Kisarazu Running Club has teamed up with the running app Runtrip, allowing participants to earn rewards for logging their runs. Users can register on the app and accumulate miles based on their running distances, earning shopping or meal vouchers at Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu when they reach certain milestones. This collaboration brings a fresh approach to fitness and shopping, promoting a healthy lifestyle while enjoying great shopping deals.
