During the first phase, which ran from 2020 to 2024, projects across Egypt, Ethiopia, and Ghana showcased tangible benefits. For instance, in Egypt, the program supported nearly a million K-12 educators through the National Distance Learning Centre. In Ethiopia, it aided 12,000 students along with 250 educators, thereby improving national access to educational resources. Ghana, too, benefited with over 1,000 teachers and 3,000 students being engaged in enhanced educational platforms.
