Miyagawa Manufacturing's Innovative Standard API Package
Miyagawa Manufacturing Co., headquartered in Meguro City, Tokyo, has recently announced the launch of a standard API package for its
Knoctoi access management system. This new package allows seamless integration with existing access control systems and attendance management systems, providing businesses with a more unified operating experience. The ability to connect different systems efficiently reduces the friction and challenges typically associated with managing multiple systems.
Overview of the API Packages
The standard API package comes in two forms:
1.
Core Package: This includes only the facial recognition integration and is set for release in April 2026.
2.
Synergy Package: This comprehensive package will integrate all access management features along with facial recognition and is scheduled to launch in January 2027.
User-Friendly System Management
A common issue with implementing multiple systems is the need for redundant data entry and log management, making it cumbersome for users. However, by employing the standard API package, organizations can operate all connected systems as one coherent unit. For instance, adding a facial recognition feature to an existing IC card access management system can be easily achieved with the Core Package. Users can access seamless features for registering and deleting users and checking usage history, without disrupting the existing system's core functionalities. This capability not only enhances the user experience but also significantly reduces costs and development time.
In cases where organizations wish to enhance their attendance management systems with facial recognition capabilities, the Synergy Package will enable data sharing across databases, facilitating a cohesive operational environment.
Advancements in Technology
Additionally, in April 2026, Miyagawa plans to standardize the OSDP communication protocol in its facial recognition terminal, the
Knoctoi Lite. This enhancement allows real-time sharing of authentication IDs and the direct control of Knoctoi Lite from control devices, streamlining the user experience. When combined with the standard API package, it promotes the creation of a highly efficient and user-friendly total system.
About Knoctoi
The
Knoctoi facial recognition terminal is designed to ensure secure and contactless personal identification, requiring users only to present their face for verification. This system seamlessly integrates with access management and attendance control, boosting both security and operational efficiency.
