Understanding the Mid-Autumn Moon
The term
"Mid-Autumn Moon" refers to the full moon observed on August 15 of the lunar calendar, though it may not always coincide with a perfect full moon. This tradition has its roots in the Heian period, brought over from China. In Japan, it connects to agricultural rituals and is sometimes referred to as
"Imo no Meigetsu" (Sweet Potato Moon).
Additional Offerings
From September 30 to October 7, the café will feature the exclusive
"Moonlight Soda Lemonade". Inspired by the night sky, it’s a refreshingly tangy drink garnished with honey-preserved lemon peels and topped with orange jelly—perfect for this celestial occasion.
Previous Events
The
"Tenpai Park" cosmic viewing event occurs throughout the year, aligning with monthly full moons. Future highlight events include the

The surround of this season with captivating sights under the autumn moonlight adds to the five senses experiences offered through these delightful birthday-themed observations. See you at the Sunshine 60 Observatory, where the magic of astronomy meets cultural appreciation!
