Experience the Essence of Summer with Special Shaved Ice at Negawakuba

Discover Negawakuba's Summer Special: Kakigori Shaved Ice

Nestled at the base of Tokyo Skytree, Negawakuba, operated by Shizuoka Mokko Co., is set to unveil its exclusive summer menu featuring the delightful "Kakigori" starting June 30, 2025. This specialty store, steeped in the essence of omikuji (fortune-telling), promises a refreshing escape with flavors that evoke both calmness and therapeutic bliss during the sweltering summer months.

The eatery offers a charmingly traditional Japanese ambience, reminiscent of a shrine with subtle touches throughout. There’s a sense of tranquility in every scoop of the fluffy "Kakigori"; its light, airy texture melts in your mouth as if your wishes are gently unfolding. Each serving comes adorned with a unique milky cream created through the innovative technique of espumama, topped with delightful torii-shaped cookies.

Menu Highlights:

1. Matcha Kakigori - ¥1,100 (tax included)

Indulge in this heavenly delight featuring an abundance of rich matcha sauce. The luxurious matcha blends seamlessly with the milky cream and fluffy ice, complemented by chewy shiratama (rice dumplings) and smooth red bean paste, providing a burst of flavor and delightful texture.

2. Black Syrup Kakigori - ¥1,100 (tax included)

Experience a taste of tradition with our black syrup Kakigori, which combines thick, fragrant black syrup with nutty kinako (roasted soybean flour). The combination of richness and refreshing ice ensures that this treat disappears quickly even on the hottest days.

Both varieties epitomize the spirit of summer and are designed to provide a moment of serenity amidst the bustling city.

Unique Offerings:

Every customer purchasing a "Kakigori" will receive an exclusive feature: our original omikuji, "Negai Mikuj", and a lucky charm coin known as "Goen-dama". You will also get to partake in a unique wish-granting experience involving a "Kagura-suzu" bell that enhances the enchanting atmosphere of this special moment.

1. Test Your Fortune with"Negai Mikuj": As you enjoy your Kakigori, try your luck by pulling a fortune from the provided omikuji. Each fortune is designed to uplift your spirits with positive words and encouraging messages, ideal for any summer outing.

2. A Token of Good Fortune -"Goen-dama" (5 yen coin): To express gratitude for your visit, we present you with a Goen-dama, colored red for its protective qualities. This token can serve as your offering when you finally achieve your wishes or simply a charm for everyday peace.

3. Kagura-suzu for Making Wishes: As a part of your experience, you’ll have the chance to ring the Kagura-suzu bell, invoking positive energy and good luck. This thrilling aspect adds to the excitement and makes for perfect photo opportunities!
