Overview of the Project

A consortium, led by Space System Development Co., has received approval for its proposal under JAXA's "Space Strategy Fund Project / Basic Technology for Ensuring Safety in Manned Space Transportation Systems." This consortium also includes Amateras Space Co. and Space NS Plan Co.

Project Details

This project focuses on the development of core technologies necessary for the Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) of a pressurized cabin system required for manned spacecraft. The technologies to be developed include:

• - Atmospheric O2/N2 management system
• - CO2 removal system
• - Trace hazardous gas removal system
• - Toilet system
• - Analysis and simulation systems
