On November 19, 2025, a unique culinary experience awaits at CYCLE by Mauro Colagreco in Tokyo, where renowned three-Michelin-star chef Mauro Colagreco will host an extraordinary makers dinner featuring the exquisite wines from the prestigious Domaine de Marcoux. This one-night-only event celebrates the heritage of Châteauneuf-du-Pape through the vision of its pioneering female winemaker, Sophie Armenier.

Sophie Armenier, the head winemaker at Domaine de Marcoux since 1995, has built her reputation on both tradition and innovation. The estate, located at the northernmost edge of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, spans 21 hectares and includes 18 different vineyards. With a rich history dating back to 1340, Domaine de Marcoux is noted for its commitment to biodynamic farming, having received EU organic certification since 1994. Sophie, a trailblazer in a male-dominated field, has consistently pursued excellence by refining the winemaking process, which includes limiting yields to create concentrated, flavorful wines.

Her dedication to producing powerful yet elegant wines aligns perfectly with the exquisite menu prepared by Chef Colagreco, renowned for his commitment to sustainability and the culinary philosophy of ‘Circular Gastronomy’ — a movement he initiated to accentuate the relationship between gastronomy and environmental responsibility.
