Nara Hotel's Exciting New Teppanyaki Restaurant: Hanagiku
Nara Hotel, located in the heart of Nara, Japan, will soon unveil its newly renovated teppanyaki restaurant, "Hanagiku," which will officially open its doors on September 2, 2026. Reservations will commence on June 4, 2026, at 9:00 AM, allowing eager diners to secure their spots for this culinary experience.
The Legacy of Hanagiku
Originally established in September 1999 as a traditional Japanese restaurant, Hanagiku underwent significant renovations in December 2015, moving to the fifth floor of the new wing at Nara Hotel. After serving as a Japanese cuisine venue until January 2026, the restaurant is now reinventing itself as a teppanyaki experience, blending local ingredients with the long-standing French cooking techniques passed down by past chefs of Nara Hotel.
With sweeping views of the ancient city and the sacred Yamato mountains, Hanagiku promises a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Here, guests can relax while enjoying a meal crafted from locally sourced ingredients, all inspired by the rich culinary heritage of Nara.
Dive into the Menu
The menu at Hanagiku offers an exquisite array of dishes that highlight the beauty and flavor of local produce, prepared in front of guests. With six unique course options, inspired by the beauty of the Yamato mountains and the historical poetry of the Manyoshu, diners can look forward to a delightful culinary journey.
