Digital Medicine Society Welcomes Healthcare Leaders to Its Board of Directors

DiMe Welcomes New Board Members

The Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Margaret Malone and Mona Siddiqui to its Board of Directors. Both individuals bring a wealth of knowledge and insights into the healthcare industry, specifically in areas such as health equity, venture capital, and policy. As DiMe embarks on its mission to integrate digital health solutions into mainstream healthcare, the contributions of these renowned experts will be pivotal.

Founded in 2019, DiMe has been a trailblazer in advocating for the digitization of healthcare—a sector that has historically been slow to adopt digital innovation. Over the last five years, the organization has partnered with over 500 industry stakeholders and has developed nearly 150 open-access resources to facilitate the development and implementation of digital health solutions. With the recent appointments, DiMe aims to elevate its efforts and expand its leadership role in the healthcare space further.

Meet the New Board Members

Margaret Malone serves as a Principal at Flare Capital Partners and boasts an impressive background in healthcare venture capital. Her extensive experience in supporting and advising digital health organizations places her in an excellent position to guide DiMe. Margaret has a deep understanding of healthcare payment models, innovation, and investment strategies, and her insights are expected to greatly inform DiMe’s navigation of the complexities of digital health.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Malone stated, "Joining DiMe's Board is an incredible opportunity to help shape the future of digital health. I'm eager to leverage my healthcare expertise to support DiMe as the organization tackles healthcare's biggest challenges."

Mona Siddiqui, another remarkable addition to the board, has spent over two decades in various leadership roles across integrated healthcare systems and federal agencies. Currently, she holds the position of Senior Vice President for Home and Community Care at Highmark Health. Mona’s extensive background in scaling value-based care programs and forming strategic partnerships will enhance DiMe’s efforts to maximize the value of its initiatives to stakeholders in the payer and purchaser communities.

Siddiqui expressed her commitment to DiMe, saying, "I am honored to join DiMe's Board and contribute to its vital work to advance the development and adoption of innovative digital health tools and practices. DiMe's mission aligns with my passion to drive meaningful changes to improve our healthcare system."

A Milestone Year Ahead

The inclusion of Malone and Siddiqui is considered a significant stepping stone for DiMe, especially as the organization celebrates its fifth anniversary. Their appointment is timely as the healthcare industry stands on the brink of transformative changes. With digital health gaining traction, organizations need to innovate and adapt swiftly to enhance patient care.

Jennifer Goldsack, CEO of DiMe, commented, "We are honored to welcome Margaret and Mona to the DiMe board. Their diverse expertise will be pivotal as we continue to bridge the gap between digital health innovation and real-world implementation. Together, we will work towards ensuring digital health solutions are accessible, effective, and sustainable."

As DiMe prepares for the year ahead, it is focused on encouraging collaboration and harnessing the insights of its new board members to continue transforming how healthcare is delivered through digital innovation. For those eager to engage with DiMe's initiatives or learn more, there are opportunities to participate in upcoming projects.
