Pan Global Resources Announces Progress on Escacena Multi-Target Drilling Program
Pan Global Resources Inc. is making notable strides with its multi-target drilling program at the Escacena project located in Southern Spain. The company has recently announced the completion of six drill holes in the region, which includes both new targets and step-out drilling at the La Romana discovery site. Testing results from these activities are anticipated within the next few weeks, promising fresh insights into the copper, tin, gold, and silver resources in the area.
According to Tim Moody, President and CEO of Pan Global, the progress achieved in 2025 has been reassuring, with three step-out holes completed that are intended to contribute to the first mineral resource estimate. Meanwhile, drilling at three new targets has commenced, supported by active rigs on the site. This ongoing work emphasizes the company's commitment to uncovering valuable mineral deposits in this rich geological landscape.
The company had faced interruptions due to weather conditions in completing the planned Induced Polarization (IP) survey at the high-priority Bravo target. Nonetheless, results from this survey are essential as they will be integrated with electromagnetic, gravimetric, and soil geochemical data to finalize drill hole positions. It is expected that drilling in the Bravo target area will start within two weeks.
For 2025, Pan Global has laid out an ambitious plan that includes conducting up to 30 drill holes over 7,000 meters. This will focus on defining the western extension of the shallow copper, tin, and silver mineralization at La Romana while exploring at least five new targets within the Escacena project and two additional targets at the Cármenes project in Northern Spain. The drilling program aims for completion by mid-year, with further targets in development for future drilling endeavors.
The Escacena project encompasses a massive contiguous land package of 5,760 hectares, wholly owned by Pan Global. This strategic location is adjacent to the operational Riotinto mine and close to the historical Aznalcóllar and Los Frailes mines, where Minera Los Frailes/Grupo México is currently navigating through final approval phases to begin construction on a new mine. The project hosts notable discoveries, including La Romana, and a number of other promising targets like Bravo, Barbacena, La Pantoja, El Pozo, Romana Norte, San Pablo, Zarcita, Hornitos, La Jarosa, Romana Deep, and Cortijo.
One of Pan Global's long-term aspirations is to delineate 100 million tonnes of copper resources across the project area, which parallels other mining operations in the Iberian Pyrite Belt. As the demand for copper surges, driven by its essential role in global electrification and the shift toward sustainable energy solutions, Pan Global Resources is strategically positioned to capitalize on this uptrend.
The company's strong commitment to mining, coupled with a favorable regulatory environment in the Iberian region, enhances its operational security and attractiveness to investors. The overarching goal remains to conduct resource explorations responsibly, aligning with environmental standards and collaborating with local communities. Pan Global Resources Inc. is also a proud member of the United Nations Global Compact, dedicated to advancing sustainability and ethical standards in all its processes.
