Total Play Reports Strong Q3 Performance with Revenue of Ps.11,496 Million and Improved EBITDA

Total Play Quarterly Financial Results for Q3 2026

Total Play Telecomunicaciones, S.A.P.I. de C.V. has released its financial results for the third quarter of 2026, showcasing a notable revenue of Ps.11,496 million. This represents a growth compared to Ps.11,301 million recorded in the same quarter of the previous year. The company also reported an EBITDA of Ps.4,944 million, reflecting a slight decrease from Ps.5,099 million the previous year. This results in an EBITDA margin of 43% for the quarter.

The telecom leader, which operates through a robust fiber optic network across Mexico, celebrated a net increase of 143,340 subscribers in its residential segment during this period. This growth indicates a burgeoning demand for their high-speed internet services—which are characterized by superior speed and stability—demonstrating Total Play's success in appealing to a growing customer base. According to CEO Eduardo Kuri, the uptick in subscribers is a testament to the company's innovative infrastructure that requires little to no additional investment in geographical coverage.

Despite the impressive subscriber growth, Total Play faced challenges with a net loss of Ps.1,331 million, more than double the Ps.665 million loss reported during the same period in 2025. The increase in losses was attributed to several factors, including a substantial foreign exchange loss of Ps.453 million, primarily due to the depreciation of the peso against foreign currencies affecting the company's net monetary liabilities.

Financial Overview

Total Play's revenue from the residential segment reached Ps.10,169 million, up from Ps.9,827 million in the previous year. This increase is complemented by an 8% growth in the number of residential subscribers, totaling 5,819,286, which includes nearly 68,793 small and medium-sized enterprises. However, the enterprise revenue saw a decline, falling to Ps.1,327 million from Ps.1,474 million, due to the conclusion of several time-bound projects.

The average revenue per user (ARPU) declined slightly to Ps.576, down from Ps.598 the previous year. This decrease reflects a shift in customer preference towards double-play packages rather than the more profitable triple-play offers.

Costs and Investment

Total costs and expenses rose by 6% to Ps.19,166 million year-to-date, primarily driven by increases in service costs and general expenses. Service costs increased by 12%, leading to a rise to Ps.6,552 million during the quarter. The company's financial health also benefited from a 5% reduction in net debt, which was achieved through careful debt amortization strategies, including the payment of Ps.500 million in financial instruments issued in 2024 and partial amortization of more senior notes.

Despite the net losses, Total Play continues to assert its dominance in the Mexican telecom market with efforts focused on expanding its services. The company ended the third quarter with a total debt balance of Ps.55,157 million, a 4% decrease from Ps.57,338 million a year earlier. Cash equivalents stood at Ps.6,780 million, showing a solid liquidity position as of September 30, 2026.

The increase in subscriber base and decrease in debt reinforce the company's robust position in the telecommunications landscape, suggesting that Total Play is well-poised to sustain its competitive edge in the future.

As Total Play navigates through these fluctuating dynamics, stakeholders are encouraged to keep a close eye on the company's strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing customer engagement and service innovation. For more detailed updates and future projections, visit Total Play’s official website.
