Experience European Tea Culture at Daikanyama T-SITE's Upcoming Tea Christmas Event

Tea Christmas 2025

The Daikanyama T-SITE in Shibuya, Tokyo, is set to host a unique marshalling event called Tea Christmas, happening from December 5th to 7th, 2025. This event aims to celebrate the culture of tea, featuring a delightful array of vendors, each providing their own take on this cherished beverage. Expect to see around 20 vendors participating, including renowned brands such as JUL et SWAN, teteria, the scone specialty shop Abbey, and the British stationery store LABOUR AND WAIT.

In addition to the vendor offerings, the Tea Certification Committee will also host a booth, providing interactive experiences such as tea diagnostics, tea leaf weighing challenges, and a tea-related quiz rally throughout the event area. This weekend is designed for those interested in exploring European culture while enjoying aromatic teas in a festive atmosphere.

Vendor Highlights

JUL et SWAN

Located in Abiko City, Chiba Prefecture, this specialty shop offers seasonal flowers and original blended teas that epitomize the essence of art de vivre (the art of living). Their offerings are perfect for enjoying the unique flavor profiles of teas during the holiday season.

teteria

According to the owner, Susumu Onishi, winter tea is not only comforting but also fills the air with pure, delightful aromas. At this event, attendees can find options normally available in their online store, showcasing “tea for everyday.”

Abbey

The scone specialist, Abbey, presents scones made with carefully chosen ingredients sourced by a proprietor who spent years in the UK. They focus on creating healthy yet delicious treats, featuring scones paired with their homemade jams and original Japanese black teas.

LABOUR AND WAIT

This London-based store is operated by a former clothing designer and offers a curated selection of practical yet beautiful home goods that have stood the test of time across Europe.

Moreover, the event will include booths from various vendors, including quoi de neuf (antique goods), Epicerie Causette (imported teas), and specialty desserts from Moiira and other confectioners.

Tea Certification Committee Booth

The booth led by the Tea Certification Committee offers a fun and educational experience for tea lovers. With over 10,000 tea enthusiasts having participated in the certification process, attendees can look forward to learning about various aspects of tea, from brewing methods to the characteristics of different tea leaves, their histories, and cultural significance. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone eager to deepen their tea knowledge, whether for personal enjoyment or professional development. For more information, check out their official page.
