Glimmer Nights Returns to Fenimore Farm

Fenimore Farm & Country Village is all set to welcome back Glimmer Nights, one of New York's most enchanting holiday light festivals, kicking off on November 22, 2025. Celebrating its third consecutive season, Glimmer Nights has expanded its schedule to include six weeks of festive fun, running Thursday through Sunday until December 28.

Guests can look forward to a magical experience filled with dazzling new displays, immersive light installations, and various themed weekends. This year's festival promises to be a cherished seasonal tradition for both longtime attendees and first-time visitors.

A Dazzling Experience Awaits

Renowned for its spectacular light displays, Glimmer Nights captures the hearts of families and friends alike. Visitors will be greeted by shimmering pathways, lively decorations, and the joyous atmosphere that defines this winter celebration. The New England Holiday Light Company has returned to curate a delightful experience, which includes three brand-new immersive installations and the highly anticipated comeback of the 20-foot-tall Mega Chicken, adorned with giant glowing eggs that will light up the village.

Whether you’re indulging in warm treats at the Crossroads Café or taking in the sights under the winter sky, every moment at Glimmer Nights is a celebration. Don’t miss the deluxe hot chocolate topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of chocolate chips—a favorite for kids and adults alike!

Every Sunday, families can meet the charming old-timey Santa at Bump Tavern, who will be available for delightful photo opportunities that capture the spirit of the season.

Themed Weekends Full of Fun

Glimmer Nights is not just about light displays; it's a community celebration enriched with special programs and activities every week. During the opening weekend of November 22-23, visitors can enjoy tractor rides through the stunning property, strengthening the event's family-friendly atmosphere. This season, an exciting Holiday Tree Decorating Contest will also be introduced, showcasing trees elaborately decorated by local organizations. Attendees can vote for their favorite tree during their visits throughout the festival.

From November 28-29, the Holiday Market will open its doors, drawing inspiration from European festive markets. Visitors will have the chance to support local artisans by shopping for unique crafts and holiday gifts. The market will commence at 3 PM, giving guests ample time to explore before Glimmer Nights officially opens at 4:30 PM.

The Dickens Nights, taking place on December 6-7, will regale visitors with performances of classic scenes from Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, enhancing the festive ambiance. Characters in period attire will roam around to interact with attendees in the historic village setting.

From December 11-14, enjoy Wassail Nights, where guests can sip on complimentary wassail—an aromatic spiced cider—at various festive spots within the venue. Local musicians will enhance the experience with enchanting holiday music.

Celebrating the Winter Solstice

On December 20-21, Glimmer Nights will embrace the enchanting winter weather during Solstice Nights. Attendees can engage in traditional crafts like wreath making, while an open-air bar will offer seasonal cocktails by a cozy fire pit. The following evening features family-friendly drink options and snacks.

As the event culminates in a Winter Wonderland-themed closing weekend on December 27-28, visitors are invited to revel in winter activities like snowman building. It's the last chance to vote in the Holiday Tree Decorating Contest, along with the return of tractor rides.
