Invision's Corporate Site and Recruitment Site Revamp
Invision Inc., dedicated to increasing the number of happy and stylish professionals, has successfully revamped its corporate and recruitment websites. Under the guiding principle to cultivate a workplace environment that showcases the essence of working happiness, the new websites were launched on April 1, 2025, for the corporate site and on May 16 for the recruitment site. The underlying theme for both platforms is "Working Documentaries."
The Rebranding Journey
In 2020, Invision rebranded itself as the "dashi supplier for companies and communities." This concept emphasizes the company’s ability to extract and highlight the true essence of businesses—what the company refers to as "dashi." Over the years, the company established various values focusing on organizational development and recruitment. As time passed, however, and with the upcoming 18th fiscal period, CEO Yoshida pondered, "How is it that we, a dashi supplier, have a bland public relations strategy? It’s almost as if I want to add ponzu sauce to enrich the flavor!" This self-reflection led to decisive action for the redesign of both the corporate and recruitment websites. A dedicated project team was formed by October 2024 to re-evaluate their branding and presentation.
A Renewed Vision
This rebuild marks the fifth revamping of the corporate site. Creating something filled with passion requires more than casual thoughts; it demands a solid commitment. With time slipping by—October, November, December, and January—an alarm went off in the brains of the project team signifying a lack of excitement. By February, they laid bare their unfiltered feelings, prompting brainstorming sessions with Invision’s internal art direction team. Together, they critically assessed whether existing content truly represented the brand or was simply generalized rhetoric.
Content that felt disjointed from the essence of Invision was edited out, while authentic and relevant ideas—referred to as "dashi"—were enthusiastically reintroduced. The final concept solidified around the theme "Reviving Japan's Team Spirit," aiming to articulate the core mission of nurturing a sophisticated team with a legacy that lasts for the next 100 years. Distinct pages outlining their moral and business philosophies highlighted values such as aspiration, duty, and belief, all updated with engaging illustrations.
On the business side, the provided values were meticulously categorized: tailoring the "dashi" concept into actionable elements such as "discard," "organize," "nurture," and "deliver." A new accomplishments showcase page now shares stories of collaborative efforts with clients. The overall design balances a distinctively Japanese aesthetic with comprehensibility—incorporating playful elements like drones, portable shrines, and darumas that reflect Invision’s spirited nature. As a result, the rejuvenated corporate site beautifully emerged just in time for completion.
Embracing “Let’s Give It a Try”
In 2025, Invision sees the potential for growth particularly within recruitment marketing. Despite restarting recruitment efforts, they consistently fell short of targets. The previous concept of "rowing the boat rather than just boarding" conveyed a superficial impression to potential applicants. How could they communicate a genuine sense of their thriving workplace culture? Assessing the new site direction, CEO Seigo and strategic director Chinami held an extensive brainstorming session. Drawing from personal stories shared over three hours, they decided to encapsulate their journey as a continuous trial and error. Coincidentally, a shared message appeared from Chinami that captured the sentiment perfectly: “Let’s give it a try.” This pivotal moment defined the new recruitment concept.
Visual creator Uematsu translated employees’ “trying it out” stories into captivating video formats. The overarching idea for the site was to express a rugged, raw, streetwise, and underground vibe. However, translating this raw aesthetic into design posed challenges. Consulting with Uematsu about how to achieve this rugged feel, insights surfaced from Chinami regarding preferences for raw denim and low-tech sneakers, prioritizing emotional depth over refinement. Uematsu’s immediate response captured the essence, “This is so straightforward! It’s about stories rather than sleek designs.”
With collaborative inspiration flowing through several serendipitous events, the final recruitment site showcases an authentic Invision essence, ready to connect with the world of charming professionals.
Conclusion
We invite everyone to explore the transformed corporate and recruitment websites. Experience Invision’s ethos as a dashi supplier, promoting happiness at work and cultivating a generation of chic professionals.
