A Unique Experience for Children:
The one-time childcare program "Eki Iku in Saitama Shintoshin" offers a blend of fun and learning opportunities for children aged 4 to 6. Organized by Asuiku Co., Ltd., in partnership with East Japan Railway Company's startup division and the Hotel Metropolitan Saitama Shintoshin, this program allows kids to experience the roles of station staff and hotel professionals firsthand. Scheduled for January 31, 2026, this event promises an engaging day of activities and exploration.
Morning Activities: Becoming a Station Staff Member
In the morning, participating children will head to Saitama Shintoshin Station to immerse themselves in the duties of a station employee. This hands-on experience kicks off with greetings and farewells to departing trains, followed by role-playing announcements on the platform.
They will even try their hand at using actual station equipment, including a wake-up device and a magic hand. A special interaction session with real station workers will further enrich this unique educational experience.
Afternoon Fun: Exploring the Hotel Industry
After a fulfilling morning, the adventure continues at the Hotel Metropolitan Saitama Shintoshin. Here, kids will gain insights into what it’s like to be a hotel professional, or 'hotelier'. They'll learn presentation skills, such as how to bow respectfully and introduce themselves with business cards. Children will also engage in practical activities, including operating an elevator and guiding guests to their rooms. This hands-on workshop offers a glimpse into the hospitality sector, showcasing the spirit of service and care.
Comfortable Accommodations in a Train View Room
At the end of the exciting day, families will settle into one of the hotel's spectacular Train View Rooms that boast an impressive array of train models. From their rooms, guests can watch live trains and freight cars pass by, offering a unique sleeping environment that children are sure to adore.
