International Dialogue with China: The Historic Imperial Springs Forum in Madrid

A Historic Event: The Imperial Springs International Forum 2024

The Imperial Springs International Forum (ISIF) is set to take place in Madrid on December 11 and 12, 2024. This marks a significant milestone as it will be the first time this global platform is held outside of China. Co-organized by the Club de Madrid, the forum aims to foster international dialogue and cooperation amid global challenges.

Under the theme "Collective Action for One Future," the ninth edition of ISIF will gather over 130 leaders, dignitaries, and experts from more than 40 countries. Attendees will include former heads of state, academics, and representatives from international organizations, alongside officials from both the Chinese and Spanish governments. Notably, the Mayor of Madrid will participate as an institutional partner.

The forum will address pressing global issues such as peace and security, green technologies, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development. Furthermore, discussions will explore strategies to enhance multilateralism and development financing, with the goal of encouraging collaborative solutions in a world increasingly characterized by polarization.

Danilo Türk, the president of the Club de Madrid, emphasized the importance of creating constructive dialogue opportunities with key global players. He stated, "At this complex time, multilateralism and partnerships are essential for tackling challenges affecting societies worldwide."

The 2024 edition of ISIF is expected to culminate in a series of recommendations that reflect a shared vision for addressing global challenges, strengthening multilateral cooperation, and promoting collective solutions. This aligns with ISIF's longstanding goal of improving understanding and collaboration on international issues.
