The Village at Tuxedo Reserve to Open New Goddard School

The Village at Tuxedo Reserve, a vibrant community hub in Tuxedo, New York, is set to become home to a new location of The Goddard School by Fall 2027. This respected early childhood education institution is renowned for its commitment to fostering a nurturing, inquiry-based learning environment, emphasizing the natural curiosity of children.

Promoting Early Childhood Education

The Goddard School’s signature curriculum, known as the Wonder of Learning®, is specifically designed to engage young learners in meaningful exploration. Built upon the expertise of educators, researchers, and child development specialists, this innovative approach not only cultivates academic skills but also nurtures social and emotional development. The program incorporates ongoing assessments and promotes active communication with families through a user-friendly app.

Owner Jason Cho expressed his excitement about this new venture: "The Village at Tuxedo Reserve is creating an exceptional destination for families, and we are honored to be part of that vision. There is a strong demand for quality early childhood education in this area, and our school will be a safe, engaging, and inspiring place for children."

With a focus on children aged six weeks to six years, the new 10,000-square-foot facility will be situated on a beautifully landscaped two-acre lot, complete with spacious play areas and convenient parking. The space will accommodate 130 students across 11 classrooms, all while creating around 20 staff positions.

A Welcoming Community Resource

The introduction of The Goddard School is poised to significantly enhance educational offerings for families residing in Tuxedo and the surrounding region. It allows parents to enjoy the convenience of a short commute, often within walking distance, thereby fostering a close-knit community ambiance. The aim is to complement established educational institutions and provide a continuous pathway for families striving for quality education for their children.

"The Goddard School is synonymous with excellence in daycare and early childhood education and perfectly aligns with the educational landscape in this area," remarked Greg Gushee, the Executive Vice President at Related Companies. "We are thrilled to welcome The Goddard School as a resource for the community, helping to shape the next generation while furthering our commitment to creating a dynamic, family-friendly environment at The Village at Tuxedo Reserve."

An Integrated Community Experience

The Village itself is envisioned as a comprehensive community hub, offering families ready access to various amenities including shopping, dining, and wellness programs. Central to this environment is Market Square, featuring a timber-framed food market alongside performance venues for entertainment and family-friendly events. The Village Green will host seasonal activities, and in the winter, a skating rink will welcome community members for recreational skating, lessons, and festive gatherings.

As the community flourishes, opportunities for outdoor activities such as playgrounds, sports fields, and hiking trails will be available, creating shared spaces for residents to engage and enjoy their surroundings. Following the recent completion of initial housing phases, the community’s retail offerings, dining experiences, and more will gradually roll out over the upcoming months, enhancing the overall lifestyle experiences at Tuxedo Reserve.

In conclusion, the establishment of The Goddard School at The Village at Tuxedo Reserve marks a significant step in improving early childhood education access in the Hudson Valley. Families seeking a supportive and nurturing learning environment for their young children can look forward to an enriching educational experience that seamlessly integrates with the broader community vision.
