On June 13, 2025, Florida International University (FIU) commenced its 10th annual disaster field exercise, a crucial event that marks a decade of training for students in the field of disaster management. This exercise replicated the aftermath of a fictional hurricane, integrating practical training for approximately 60 students alongside local emergency responders, healthcare providers, and national security agencies.
