DB HiTek to Make Its Mark at electronica India 2026, Focusing on Expanding in the Indian Semiconductor Market

DB HiTek’s Exciting Entry into electronica India 2026

DB HiTek, a leading 8-inch pure-play foundry from Korea, is set to make its debut at electronica India 2026, taking place from September 16 to 18 in Bengaluru. This significant event is poised to boost the company's engagement in the Indian market as it showcases its advanced semiconductor technologies.

Bengaluru, often referred to as India’s “Silicon Valley,” hosts this premier trade fair, which brings together top electronics firms across South Asia. In line with its strategies for growth, DB HiTek plans to spotlight its key semiconductor processes, including the highly regarded BCD (Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS) technology. Furthermore, the company aims to unveil its latest innovations in silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) power semiconductors, which could revolutionize multiple sectors.

Recognizing India as a rapidly expanding hub for semiconductors, DB HiTek aims to foster relationships with local fabless companies that are increasingly moving into the development of their own semiconductor products. This growth is strongly supported by governmental policies and significant investments, making India a hotbed of opportunities in the semiconductor space. As local companies transition from chip design services to semiconductor production, the demand for foundry services is expected to surge, prompting DB HiTek to enhance collaboration with Indian firms.

At the exhibition, DB HiTek will emphasize its competitive edge in power semiconductor processes, which has already achieved a significant milestone with over 9 million cumulative wafer shipments of its BCD process. Drawing from its extensive experience in volume production, the company is set to expand into high-value applications notably within the automotive and industrial sectors.

In addition to showcasing its achievements, DB HiTek is keen to highlight its advancements in next-generation power semiconductors. The company is excited to present the progress of its 1,200V SiC MOSFET, which has recently completed process qualification. Following this, the qualification for its 650V GaN process is slated for completion by December. Detailed product performance evaluations utilizing these innovative processes are currently being undertaken with key strategic partners.

To further broaden its customer base in the region, DB HiTek will also display various specialized process technologies. These include X-ray imaging, global shutter mechanisms, single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) technologies, and other specialty CIS technologies, along with mixed-signal and RF processes.

A representative from DB HiTek expressed optimism regarding the burgeoning local semiconductor market, stating, "India is a vibrant market where the swift growth of domestic fabless companies and the overall semiconductor ecosystem are creating immense business opportunities. We anticipate that our participation in electronica India will empower us to augment our engagement with local customers while continuing to seek new opportunities leveraging our strengths in power semiconductors and specialty processes."

With a clear strategy and a robust product lineup, DB HiTek is gearing up to make a distinctive impact at electronica India 2026, further solidifying its position within the expanding Indian semiconductor landscape.
