Haneda International High School Kick Off Meeting
On June 28th,
Haneda International High School (located in Ota City, Tokyo and led by Principal Yuichiro Kanno) will host its Kick Off Meeting as part of its outreach for prospective third-year students for the upcoming academic year. This meeting serves as an introductory session outlining the school's educational philosophy, curriculum, and the various course offerings. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a Q&A session to clarify any concerns they may have.
The event is tailored specifically for middle school students and their parents, providing them a unique chance to connect with faculty and current students (the ‘WINGS staff’). This interaction aims to immerse participants in the school environment, giving them a feel of what Haneda International has to offer. In previous years, attendance at the Kick Off Meeting has been robust, with many middle school students and their families eager to learn more about this institution. Already, numerous reservations have been made for this year’s event. This serves as a great starting point for those looking to make informed decisions about their high school selection.
We encourage participants to make their reservations swiftly to ensure their spot at this enlightening event. The faculty and staff are looking forward to welcoming everyone.

Unique Projects at Haneda International High School
Haneda International High School has also introduced exciting extracurricular activities aimed at enriching the student experience. This includes the new
Honey Bee Project, which activates a beekeeping initiative on the school's rooftop. The program highlights the vital role of bees in pollination and ecosystem sustainability. Students involved will study the behavior of Western honeybees and learn about their relationships with the environment and human society. They will also get hands-on experience through scientific experiments aimed at creating honey and beeswax.
In addition to this, the school has launched a
Taiko Club, focused on understanding the historical significance of the taiko drums. With roots dating back to the Jomon period, these drums were initially used in religious ceremonies. Over time, they have transitioned into a key part of cultural performances. Members of the Taiko Club will explore both the performance aspect and the historical context, deepening their appreciation of Japanese culture.
If you're interested in either of these clubs, we warmly invite you to attend the Kick Off Meeting to learn more about these opportunities.
For those considering the new
Haneda International Middle School, which is set to open in April 2026, another round of informational meetings is scheduled. These will take place on June 14th and July 5th, providing insights into the school's concept, educational content, and campus tour for interested families. Both dates share the same agenda, ensuring flexibility for participation.
