Japan Pop Culture Marketing Forum in Bangkok, on August 29, 2025. The venue, Donki Hall, buzzed with energy as local brands and cultural influencers discussed the synergy between Japanese pop culture and marketing strategies tailored for the Thai market.
The Beginning of a Partnership
Since July of this year, the collaboration among CGO Dot Com, Daimaru Matsuzakaya, and Tsugiste is aimed at catering to the increasing interest in Japanese pop culture both domestically and internationally. The primary objective of this partnership is to bolster marketing efforts, content development, and human resource training that leverage Japan's vibrant pop culture landscape.
The
influencer marketing division at Daimaru Matsuzakaya has already ventured into collaborations within Thailand, having partnered with a popular Thai actress to promote a Japanese restaurant in Bangkok. This groundwork laid the foundation for the marketing forum, marking Thailand as a strategic starting point for Japanese brands looking to expand abroad.
Business Insights and Creative Collaborations
The event was divided into two main parts: a business seminar and a performance segment. The
first part featured talks from three industry experts who shared insights on utilizing metaverse technology, influencer strategies, and collaborations with idols and gal culture.
Rui Okazaki, the head of the DX Promotion Department at Daimaru Matsuzakaya, kicked off the presentations by highlighting innovative marketing cases that incorporate digital elements, including influencer partnerships and metaverse projects.

Rika Takenou, the representative of CGO Dot Com, discussed the evolution of
