David Cade Takes on Board Chair-Elect Role at NCMA
The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) has announced the election of David Cade as its Board Chair-Elect for the 2027 program year, with his official duties commencing on July 1, 2026. Cade is currently the Vice President of Major Suppliers and Strategic Contracting at Boeing's Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit. His responsibilities encompass managing contracts and fostering strategic partnerships with the ten largest suppliers of BDS, in addition to overseeing long-term contract strategies, technical services contracting, and procurement of commercial off-the-shelf software. Prior to this position, Cade has amassed substantial experience in several leadership roles within Boeing, including U.S. Government Services Business Transformation and Corporate Contracts, in addition to his legal tenure at General Motors Corporation.
Throughout his career, Cade has been a pivotal member of the NCMA, advocating for best practices in contract management. His engagement extends to the education sector, where he actively supports Howard University's Center for Excellence in Supply Chain Management by serving on its advisory board and directing Boeing's collaborative strategy with the institution.
