Consumer Technology Association Hosts Startup Pitch Competition in Lisbon Ahead of CES 2026
CTA's Startup Pitch Competition in Lisbon
The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) is set to create excitement in the startup ecosystem by hosting a startup pitch competition on June 23, 2025, in Lisbon. This event will be part of the annual CTA CEO Summit, bringing together visionary startups and top investors from the region. The winner of the pitch competition will be awarded a free exhibit space in the Eureka Park at the upcoming CES 2026 in Las Vegas, a globally recognized venue for startups.
“Lisbon stands out as one of the innovation capitals of Europe, making it the perfect venue for our pitch competition,” said Gary Shapiro, CEO and President of CTA. “We are eager to recognize some of the dynamic European startups and welcome the winner at CES 2026 in January next year.”
Five promising Portuguese startups have been selected to present their cutting-edge innovations to a distinguished panel of investors, which includes Rita Branco from 3xP Global Investments, Cintia Mano, CEO and co-founder of COREangels, Tomás Penaguião from Bynd Venture Capital, João Pereira at Digital Portugal Ventures, and Diogo Teixeira from Beta-i. The participating startups are:
1. Bandora Systems - This software-as-a-service platform implements machine learning to optimize building energy usage.
2. Enhanced Fertility - Focused on at-home tests for data-driven fertility treatments.
3. iLoF - Uses artificial intelligence to accelerate personalized medicine research and development.
4. Mantis-AI - A media tech firm transforming raw videos and data using AI.
5. Musiversal - A subscription service aimed at music collaboration and production.
