2026 WTCA Member Forum: Shaping the Future of Global Business Together

2026 WTCA Member Forum Set to Inspire Global Business Collaboration

The World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) is gearing up for a significant event that promises to bring together leaders from across nearly 100 countries. The 2026 WTCA Member Forum, happening on October 27-28, is designed to facilitate a global exchange of ideas and strategies to navigate the evolving landscape of international business.

This year's theme, "Connecting Ideas. Shaping What's Next," signals the forum's intent to not just respond to but actively shape the trends affecting global commerce. With over 300 World Trade Center (WTC) locations participating, the forum embodies a spirit of collaboration and innovation, leveraging the diverse experiences of its members.

Opening Insights and Leadership Transition

A highlight of the event will be the opening briefing from WTCA Chair John E. Drew and the organization's new CEO, Annette Gregg. Drew emphasizes the importance of the forum as a reconnection point for members, stating, "This year's Member Forum comes at a pivotal time for our Association… We plan for this to be the last virtual Forum as we aim to return to in-person gatherings in One World Trade Center next year."

Gregg, stepping into her new role, expresses enthusiasm about meeting members and collaborating on future goals. She notes, “I look forward to building on the Association's strong foundation while exploring new ways to support our members.”

Engaging Sessions and Shared Knowledge

The forum will feature a rich program structured around practical sessions including:
  • - "WTCA Member Power Pitches Shaping What's Next": An exhilarating showcase of initiatives that are creating tangible value at various WTC locations.
  • - "The WTC Business Club Playbook": This session introduces a strategic framework for nurturing local business communities, fostering connections that span the WTCA network.
  • - "Future-Ready WTC Businesses": Participants will discuss how shifting industries and investment practices inform real estate strategies, crucial for attracting business collaborations.
  • - "Global Café: Trade in Transition": A dynamic platform for sharing insights on fluctuating trade policies and market conditions, emphasizing interconnectedness among WTC businesses.
  • - "Technology in Action": This session will spotlight innovative uses of technology to enhance business matchmaking and streamline operations within the WTC framework.

Building Connections in the Virtual Landscape

WTCA acknowledges that while this forum is virtual, it can foster deep connections across geographic boundaries. Crystal Edn, Executive Director of Member Services, states, "Members from every region will exchange ideas and meet peers they would not otherwise reach. We built the program for every level of a WTC team, ensuring everyone leaves with new insights and partnerships."

Moreover, the event will kick-start the countdown to the 57th annual WTCA Global Business Forum, scheduled for April 4-7, 2027, in Binh Duong Ward, Vietnam. The "Destination Vietnam" session will be an opportunity to highlight future business prospects in the region.
