The Gamall NOTO ART LINE - Supporting Noto Recovery Efforts

The Gamall NOTO ART LINE: Supporting Noto's Recovery

From December 13, 2025, to February 28, 2026, Taisho University will host a special venue, "The Gamall NOTO ART LINE," aimed at supporting recovery efforts in the Noto region affected by natural disasters. Accompanying this initiative will be an antenna shop, "Gamall Marche," featuring a special corner for local products from our partnering municipalities.

This event is a continuation of the university's commitment after our students and faculty participated in volunteer activities in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, in June 2024. Their experiences not only allowed them to lend a helping hand but also fostered meaningful relationships with local residents and businesses. Building upon the connections established in 2024, this year's event aims to deepens ties and mobilize support for the ongoing recovery of the Noto Peninsula.

The shops featured will offer a diverse selection of appealing traditional crafts and special products from the area that was affected by the earthquake. Visitors will be introduced to the Noto Peninsula's unique charm while supporting the local community through their purchases.

We warmly invite everyone to come and enjoy the unique offerings we have curated for this special occasion. By participating, you not only discover the richness of Noto’s cultural heritage but also play a part in the recovery efforts.

About Taisho University

Founded in 1926, Taisho University is managed by four schools of thought: Tendai, Shingon, Jodo, and Ji sects. The university's guiding principle, established at its inception, is the practice of wisdom and compassion. This principle embodies the Bodhisattva’s aspiration to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all sentient beings. Under this philosophy, Taisho University promotes a vision of education rooted in Buddhist values with an emphasis on compassion, self-illumination, the Middle Way, and coexistence. As we approach our 100th anniversary in 2026, we view this milestone as a second founding—a springboard for furthering educational and research initiatives.
