Introduction of MARTE DAIKANYAMA: A New Sensory Experience in Daikanyama

MARTE DAIKANYAMA Opens in Daikanyama

The stylish district of Daikanyama is about to welcome an exciting new addition: the flagship store of MARTE, set to open on May 23, 2026. Managed by Photino Co., Ltd., this new location marks a decade-long journey for MARTE, which started its operations in Harajuku in April 2016 as an exclusive vintage shop. Over the years, it has remained committed to the concept of ‘discovering new horizons and oneself,’ providing experiences that allow customers to encounter parts of themselves they may not have known.

As it celebrates its 10th anniversary, MARTE DAIKANYAMA will unveil a fresh interpretation of shopping that goes beyond mere appearances. The store aims to provide a calm and creative space that engages all five senses, allowing visitors to explore their inner curiosity sparked by influences from travel, nature, art, and history.

A Space for Inspiration and Creation

The concept behind MARTE DAIKANYAMA is to cultivate an atmosphere that unlocks creativity and sensory exploration. The shop is designed to serve as an escape from daily routines, inviting customers to engage with an environment that promotes sensory experiences. It features a seamless connection between its two floors, each offering a unique experience directed by the talented teams behind gallery stoop and FRYGALLERY.

First Floor: An Artistic Resonance

The first floor is designed to inspire with a combination of rare natural materials and striking art pieces. Visitors will find original tables made from a unique type of stone, sourced exclusively from the mountains of Miyagi Prefecture, alongside exceptional vintage furniture and contemporary art collections. This space resonates with the spirit of creativity and the essence of artistic exploration.

Second Floor: Where Tradition Meets Modern Creativity

The second level is a curated space that artfully incorporates elements of traditional Japanese aesthetics through a contemporary lens. It will host regular exhibitions and events, enriching the cultural experience for those who visit. MARTE DAIKANYAMA will showcase its original brands, including ‘sahara,’ a line inspired by the convergence of different cultures and times, and ‘SYKIA,’ an accessories brand. New brands launched to commemorate the 10th anniversary, such as ‘Ruh Dhan’ and ‘ILANIS,’ will also be featured, making it a hub for diverse styles and inspirations.

Additionally, the store will offer an array of vintage clothing, decorative items, and upcycled products, breathing new life into items that were destined for the landfill. Through collaboration with design galleries, MARTE DAIKANYAMA will introduce international interior design elements, allowing customers to experience select iconic modern designs firsthand in a unique retail setting.

Engaging the Senses

True to MARTE’s mission of helping customers meet new versions of themselves, the store will provide a variety of sensory experiences:
  • - A space infused with natural scents, featuring aromatherapy products made with crystal sand sourced from Fukuoka, allowing visitors to explore fragrances from around the world.
  • - A carefully curated selection of natural condiments and herbal teas to appeal to the palate, enhancing the overall sensory journey.
  • - An exclusive collaboration with fog to launch a signature fragrance inspired by Mars, adding an innovative sensory element to the shopping experience.

Regular Events and Workshops

The second floor is set to host dynamic events and workshops, allowing individuals to engage deeply with ancient wisdom through astrology and Ayurveda, offering a comprehensive approach to personal fulfillment and discovery.

Opening Celebrations

To celebrate the grand opening, customers who spend over 15,000 yen will receive a MARTE original tote bag as a gift, along with a limited-edition sticker for all visitors while supplies last. The excitement surrounding the launch of MARTE DAIKANYAMA promises to create a buzz in the local community and fashion world alike.
