Citrus Afternoon Tea at Tokyo Station Hotel
The Tokyo Station Hotel, located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, is celebrating its 110th anniversary with a limited-time Citrus Afternoon Tea at its guest lounge, the Atrium. This exclusive event, running from January 12 to March 25, 2026, showcases the finest seasonal citrus fruits from Japan, creating a vibrant and refreshing experience for tea lovers.
A Unique Afternoon Experience
The Atrium Lounge, usually reserved for hotel guests, transforms into a citrus paradise. Just a stone's throw from Tokyo Station, this elegant space is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you are seeking a peaceful moment alone or a delightful gathering with friends or loved ones, this is an experience to be cherished.
A Feast for the Senses
The Citrus Afternoon Tea features an array of six exquisite desserts, each showcasing the zesty flavors of fruits like Setoka, Dekopon, and Shiranui. Guests can enjoy the delightful Citrus Tart, which combines rich Grand Marnier-infused custard and juicy citrus slices. The lineup includes refreshing Citrus Blancmange layered with melon and strawberry jelly, a smooth Citrus Mousse encapsulating the distinct taste of Shiranui, and a moist Citrus Shortcake, delicately perfumed with citrus notes.
Other sweet delights include a Chocolate Financier that pairs perfectly with a juicy citrus fruit paste, and scones made with orange peel served with sweet orange jam for an explosion of flavor in every bite.
In addition to the sweet offerings, the tea also includes a selection of savory dishes, such as a classic smoked salmon salad with avocado and red onions, pâté de campagne pinchos, and mini shrimp and egg tarts. The warm main dish features a hearty Sendai beef hamburger served with curry sauce and butter rice, providing a satisfying complement to the sweet treats.
An Enchanting Venue
The Atrium is a stunning space with a nine-meter high ceiling that floods with natural light from the skylights. Its design utilizes the building's historical red brick structures while offering a modern touch through its airy layout, making it an ideal setting for a luxurious afternoon escape.
