Esaote Expands Presence in the Netherlands

The opening ceremony attracted notable guests, including local government officials and representatives from Maastricht University, underscoring the importance of this event. Esaote’s operations in the Netherlands encompass a range of activities, including Sales and Services, research and development, and production across four entities: Esaote Europe B.V. and Pie Medical Imaging B.V. both located in Maastricht, along with 3mensio Medical Imaging B.V. in Utrecht and Proton B.V. in Sittard. The company employs a total of 155 people in the country, underscoring its role as a key player in the medical sector.

Esaote has ambitious growth plans in the Netherlands, focusing on advancing innovative solutions within the ultrasound and Medical IT sectors. The company aims to develop state-of-the-art software designed specifically for interventional cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, which includes capabilities such as cardiac structural imaging, endovascular analysis, as well as pre-operative sizing and planning.

To catalyze these advancements, Esaote has outlined a 5-year investment plan, committing approximately 10 million euros to research and development activities starting from 2026. This initiative is anticipated to yield an increase in employment by approximately 50%, reflecting Esaote's confidence in market growth and its desire to create jobs in the region.

Franco Fontana, the CEO of Esaote, remarked on the strategic importance of the Netherlands for their operations.
