BASIS Independent Dublin Set to Open This Fall with Unique Learning Environment for Families in Tri-Valley

BASIS Independent Dublin: A New Era in Education

This upcoming fall, a fresh academic chapter begins as BASIS Independent Schools opens its newest campus in Dublin, California. The establishment of BASIS Independent Dublin aims to meet the rising educational needs of families in the Tri-Valley region. This private school will cater to students from grades 5 through 12, emphasizing a curriculum designed to push boundaries and foster personal growth.

The vision for BASIS Independent Dublin is centered on creating an academic environment that encourages students to think critically, engage broadly in various subjects, and realize their potential beyond conventional expectations. Opening its doors on August 19, the school has already garnered interest from the local community and will serve as the third BASIS Independent campus in the Bay Area, joining the already established BASIS Independent Silicon Valley and BASIS Independent Fremont.

Located strategically on a 150,000-square-foot campus at 7950 Dublin Boulevard, the facilities are tailored to support a comprehensive learning experience. Students will have access to advanced science labs, specialized spaces for visual and performing arts, dedicated music classrooms, and a theater. In addition, collaborative learning environments, a full gymnasium, and a massive outdoor athletic field are all designed to complement the school’s dynamic curriculum.

At the helm of BASIS Independent Dublin is Dr. Helen Min, a seasoned educator with an impressive background in the BASIS network. Having previously held significant leadership roles, including Director of Student Affairs and Associate Head of School at BASIS Independent Fremont, Dr. Min aims to cultivate a community where students feel encouraged to explore new ideas and challenge themselves.

"At BASIS Independent Dublin, we're cultivating an atmosphere where students are motivated to ask challenging questions, take on new endeavors, and develop into thoughtful, confident young adults," Dr. Min stated. "When students are confronted with challenges and supported accordingly, they foster curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong passion for learning."

The inaugural class, expected to comprise around 130 students, will be supported by a dedicated faculty of over 40 educators. Each faculty member is selected not only for their expertise across various academic disciplines but also for their passion for guiding young learners in their educational journey.

Toby Walker, Vice President of BASIS Independent Schools, expressed enthusiasm about the new opening. "We are thrilled to introduce the BASIS Independent educational philosophy to the Dublin community and invite families who value strong academic foundations, intellectual curiosity, and meaningful developmental experiences to join us. Our mission is to nurture an environment where students can explore courageous educational paths, think independently, and unlock their full potential."

BASIS Independent Schools have established a robust reputation for their rigorous academic programs and notable student achievements. The recent statistics reveal that over 26% of the graduating Class of 2026 were recognized as National Merit Finalists, reinforcing the school network's commitment to fostering an environment of knowledge, inquiry, and engaged learning.

As families in the Tri-Valley area seek a modern education that moves beyond traditional indicators of success, BASIS Independent Dublin promises to equip students with the skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly changing world. The school combines an internationally respected liberal arts and sciences curriculum within a culture that promotes curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
