Launch of FCL Components' FTR-MY Series Slim Power Relay

FCL Components Co., Ltd., based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has recently announced the introduction of the socket-compatible version of its well-established FTR-MY series slim power relay, designed for various industrial applications including interface relays and PLCS. This innovative product aims to simplify relay replacement in demanding industrial environments.

A Reliable Solution for Industrial Devices

The FTR-MY series has long been trusted for its reliability and proven performance as a surface-mount relay solution. In many PLC applications, relays serve essential functions, such as:

• - Providing electrical isolation between low-power PLC logic and high-power field circuits,
• - Switching voltage and current between PLC outputs and external loads,
• - Protecting PLC outputs from overloads, short circuits, and transients.

With the introduction of the socket-compatible version, FCL Components enables users to replace the relay easily while keeping the printed circuit board (PCB) intact in case of wear or failure.

Features that Enhance User Experience

The FTR-MY series socket-compatible relay is designed with a guides alongside its sides, ensuring a simple and secure insertion and removal from the socket for the end-user. Additionally, the relay terminals come pre-soldered, allowing it to also be used as a soldered PCB-installed relay.

Further expanding the FTR-MY series offerings, FCL Components is in the process of developing a reflow-compatible model. This new version would reduce flow process steps, contributing to an optimized PCB assembly cost. The sealed structure of the relay is designed to resist dust and other environmental factors, thus improving its durability. Prototypes of this model are expected to be ready by April 2027, and engineering samples are currently available for customer inquiry.
