Support Local Agriculture with JA Group's Campaigns this Fall



This October and November, the JA Group is launching initiatives to promote local agriculture through the "JA Group National Consumption of Domestic Products Month" campaign. From October 1 to the end of November, customers can conveniently purchase domestic agricultural and livestock products without any shipping fees via the JA Town online store.

With a focus on the National Consumption of Domestic Products Day on October 16, JA Group strategically aims to encourage the selection and purchasing of domestically-produced items during this two-month period. Customers can choose from an extensive selection of over 8,700 products, including seasonal fruits and well-regarded domestic beef brands, all while enjoying the benefit of waived shipping costs.

The Ja Town platform, operated by the National Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations (JA Zen-Noh), serves as a direct-to-consumer online market specializing in fresh produce. The overarching theme of JA Town is "Let’s Live Deliciously in Japan!", which highlights the importance of enjoying and supporting local food products.

In addition to the National Consumption Campaign, JA Town is also holding a Winter Gift Campaign from October 1 to December 11. During this period, members who make purchases of over 10,000 yen will have a chance to enter a lottery to win one of 3,000 coupons worth 1,000 yen, usable on the JA Town platform. This initiative not only encourages early holiday shopping but also reinforces the commitment to local agricultural practices.

The Concept of National Consumption of Domestic Products



The JA Group advocates for a philosophy known as "National Consumption of Domestic Products," which emphasizes the importance of consuming food produced within the country. This initiative aligns with the United Nations-designated World Food Day, and October 16 is set as National Consumption of Domestic Products Day. The campaigns running during this period aim to encourage continuous purchases of domestic products by providing consumers with incentives that reduce their financial burden.
