Introduction
On May 1, 2026, a new facility called
Kobe North Short Stay Soyokaze will open its doors in
Kobe's Kita Ward, dedicated to easing the burden of at-home caregiving for families. Operated by
SOYOKAZE Inc. based in Minato, Tokyo, this facility embraces a forward-thinking approach to elderly care, transforming the paradigm from merely being a safety net to offering positive choices for family well-being.
A New Kind of Elderly Care Solution
This new facility will be the
11th of its kind within
Hyogo Prefecture and the
3rd in
Kobe City. Leveraging the expertise gained through managing the most short-term stay facilities in the country, Kobe North Soyokaze aims to support residents in maintaining their quality of life within their familiar community. The facility's design focuses on creating an environment where both residents and families feel inclined to return again and again.
Responding to an Aging Society
Kobe’s Kita Ward currently has a staggering
22.4% aging rate, with some residential communities exceeding
30%. As the demands on families providing in-home care continue to grow, the need for a supportive respite environment has become a pressing social issue. This facility caters to these needs, helping families enjoy a break while ensuring effective care for their loved ones.
The Unique Features of Kobe North Soyokaze
1.
Support Through Functional Training: Residents will benefit from regular functional training even during their stay, thanks to the availability of mobile exercise equipment that allows them to maintain their physical mobility in privacy.
2.
Convenient Stay Packages: To make emergency stays easier, an optional “stay package” is provided, which includes essentials such as clothing and toiletries, minimizing the need for prior preparation. This means families can use the facility with minimal luggage.
3.
Flexible Emergency Response 365 Days a Year: The facility is equipped to handle unexpected support requests throughout the year, offering private rooms and Wi-Fi to maintain residents' comfort while ensuring privacy.
Vision for the Future
The facility aims to redefine short-stay service as not just a place to lodge but as a supportive platform that contributes to functional training and family respite. As emphasized by the
Center Director, the goal is to transform short-term stay solutions into proactive choices that enhance the quality of life in familiar surroundings. By continually adapting to the needs of the community, Kobe North Soyokaze is committed to playing its part in realizing a society where everyone can live harmoniously together.
