Oticon Supports Health Longevity Festival 2026 with Hearing Care Initiatives

Oticon's Continued Commitment to Hearing Health

Oticon, a renowned hearing aid brand with over 120 years of history, is once again collaborating with the Anker Frontown Ikuta Health Longevity Festival 2026. This important event will take place on September 21st, and Oticon aims to raise awareness about the significance of hearing care. On this day, attendees will have the chance to participate in free workshops at Oticon's booth, which will include mini-seminars on hearing, hands-on experiences with hearing aids, and simple hearing checks.

Hearing loss typically begins in the 40s but often goes unnoticed in the early stages due to its gradual onset. The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare reports that as people reach 65 and older, the number experiencing hearing challenges increases significantly. Ignoring these challenges can lead to decreased communication opportunities with family and friends, diminished social participation, and ultimately affect one's quality of life (QOL). Therefore, it is crucial for individuals to recognize changes in their hearing early and take appropriate action. Research also indicates that it takes about seven years for individuals to consider and eventually acquire hearing aids. A large market survey, the Japan Track 2025, found that 56% of hearing aid users wished they had begun using them sooner.

Words from Oticon's President, Tohru Saito

Tohru Saito, President of Oticon, expressed his enthusiasm for partnering again with the Kawasaki Frontale and Anker Frontown Ikuta for the Health Longevity Festival. He emphasized the importance of connecting with the local community through this event. The mini-seminars and hearing checks will serve as an opportunity for everyone, not just to consider their own hearing but that of their families as well. Good hearing health is vital for maintaining daily communication and a quality life. Oticon aims for their booth to be a stepping stone towards healthier, richer daily living.
