FAT International Set to Thrill at the FAT Ice Race in Montana This February
FAT International, the visionary motorsports and lifestyle enterprise led by entrepreneur Ferdi Porsche, marks its grand return to the United States this February with the exhilarating FAT Ice Race. Scheduled for February 27-28, the event will unfold at Moonlight Basin in picturesque Big Sky, Montana. This race represents more than just a competition; it is a vibrant celebration of car culture, innovation, and breathtaking alpine tradition.
Initially rooted in the historic Austrian Alps and making its U.S. debut in Aspen in 2024, the FAT Ice Race is expanding its presence in North America. By partnering with the Lone Mountain Land Company in Montana, FAT International is poised to create a spectacular two-day event that unites motorsport enthusiasts, innovators, and spectators for an unforgettable winter gathering.
The FAT Ice Race will feature an impressive lineup of over 50 vehicles competing in various racing formats, with an additional 50 cars on display. Attendees can look forward to action-packed programming that includes high-octane hot laps, exciting show drives, and dazzling stunt performances. Noteworthy aerial demonstrations and precision showcases from Red Bull will also grace the icy tracks, creating a visually stunning spectacle set against the backdrop of one of the most iconic destinations in the American West.
For the racing festivities, an impressive roster of drivers will take to the ice, including the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated artist Don Toliver, acclaimed visual artist Daniel Arsham, and professional drift racer Sara Choi, among others. The combination of these diverse talents illustrates how the FAT Ice Race transcends traditional boundaries, merging entertainment and automotive excellence.
"Bringing FAT Ice Race to Montana is incredibly meaningful to us, and Big Sky offers an unparalleled environment to continue the spirit we cultivated in Zell am See," remarked Ferdi Porsche. "There’s something truly special about navigating powerful cars on frozen tracks, immersing ourselves in the chaotic excitement, and sharing this experience with both familiar and new friends in such captivating surroundings."
The excitement will kick off with a special pre-race meet-up titled "FAT CARS, BIG SKY" on Thursday, February 26, from 4-7 PM at Big Sky’s Town Center Plaza. This gathering is open to the public and free of charge, featuring a showcase of rare vehicles from FAT International’s partners. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with brand executives, enjoy scrumptious food and beverages, and share their automotive passions with fellow enthusiasts.
FAT Ice Race Big Sky also boasts a comprehensive suite of sponsors and partners, including renowned brands such as Porsche Cars North America, Bentley, Mobil 1, and Red Bull, ensuring immersive activations and dynamic experiences throughout the event.
ACG (All Conditions Gear) will join the festival with exciting presentations. This year, ACG will host the creatively engaging event titled Man vs. Machine, featuring athlete Liam Meirow as he races against an innovative All Conditions Test Vehicle on the icy terrain. Additionally, Bentley will showcase its Bentayga X Concept, which debuted at the FAT Ice Race Zell am See earlier this year, further reinforcing its commitment to this unique motorsport gathering.
FAT International is also thrilled to introduce its new FAT Racing Department during this year's event, debuting its first-ever F4 car in anticipation of its participation in British Formula 4 this spring.
From custom nail bars to winter warmer beverages at Porsche's set-up, the FAT Ice Race hosts a variety of activities designed to enhance the experience for fans and participants alike.
Async with these unique offerings, off-road racer Christopher Polvoorde will feature his customized Ford Raptor American Trophy Truck, built for racing in the Baja 1000, while actress Emelia Hartford will also join the event's races.
Established in 1952 in Zell am See, Austria, the FAT Ice Race stands as a culturally significant event, once dormant through the 1970s before Ferdi Porsche revitalized it for a contemporary audience. Today, this exhilarating blend of motorsport and car culture has evolved into a unique racing spectacle.
FAT International continues to solidify its reputation as a leader in merging automotive culture with lifestyle and innovation, driving initiatives that resonate with fans worldwide. For more information about the FAT Ice Race and to stay connected, visit
