A New Era of Fashion: Tani and Kurumi Wakagi's Wabi Sabi Collection
In an exciting union of comfort and artistic expression, premium comfort wear brand
Tani has unveiled a
limited edition collaboration with contemporary artist
Kurumi Wakagi. This unique offering, titled the
Wabi Sabi Collection, takes inspiration from the Japanese aesthetic of finding beauty in the natural, the imperfect, and the ephemeral. With Tani's commitment to creating the ultimate daily wear, this collection presents a new concept that merges
fashion with
personal storytelling.
A Journey of Customization
The standout feature of the Wabi Sabi Collection is its engaging
customization experience. Unlike traditional clothing, these t-shirts empower wearers to become creators of their own narratives. Each piece comes with eight assorted
action motifs that can be ironed onto the shirt at your choice of location, allowing you to craft a one-of-a-kind story through fashion. The base designs are inspired by nature’s contrasts: the
Horizontal model represents the serene calm of the sea, while the
Vertical model reflects the majestic strength of mountains. Wearers can select their preferred scenery as a backdrop for their personal journey.
Innovative and Eco-Friendly Material
The canvas for this artistic endeavor is a pioneering fabric blend of cotton and corn-derived fibers (Sorona®). This light, stretchable material boasts a
Q Max Factor of 0.16, providing a cooling sensation that stays refreshing even in the hottest weather. The collection is a product of a collaboration among Japan's top creative networks, originating with design work in Kyoto. Highly detailed printing techniques from Tokyo and precise sewing from a specialized line in Mie come together to create this contemporary, high-quality limited edition.
