Recruitment for the 2026 Practical Excellence Course
Nagoya University of Commerce and Business has opened applications for the 2026 cohort of its corporate education program, the Practical Excellence Course, based at its Osaka campus. This unique course is designed for businesses to tackle their specific management issues through a one-year project study, which encompasses a blend of practical MBA insights, lectures, and book discussions.
What is the Practical Excellence Course?
The Practical Excellence Course is a year-long educational program tailored for corporations. Its primary goal is to help organizations accurately identify and solve their business challenges while facilitating overall growth through project research. Participants engage in comprehensive studies and activities that instill practical MBA principles, preparing them to apply learned concepts effectively.
Location and Facilities
The Osaka campus of the Nagoya University Business School is strategically located at Grand Front Osaka, directly connected to Osaka Station. This prime location provides an optimal learning environment for participants by ensuring easy access and state-of-the-art facilities.
Project Research Theme for 2026
The theme for the 2026 cohort is:
"Achieving Dual-Platform Management". This approach emphasizes the simultaneous advancement of existing operations (efficiency and sophistication) and the exploration of new value creation through innovation. While many companies recognize its importance, implementing dual-platform management remains a challenging aspect of business strategy.
Participants will define challenges based on their unique organizational realities, creating concrete strategies and action plans. The program aims to ensure that the concept of balance does not remain theoretical but is transformed into actionable business practices.
Activities and Learning Experience
In the latter half of the program, participants will engage in international study tours, gaining insights into management and innovation from a global perspective. A culmination event will take place in March, where companies can showcase their strategies and outcomes from the year-long projects, allowing for a fruitful exchange of innovative practices.
