Boao Forum 2025: Strengthening Asian Cooperation Amid Global Challenges

The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2025 is currently underway in Boao, a coastal town in South China's Hainan Province. This prestigious event, running from Tuesday to Friday, has attracted a diverse assembly of approximately 2,000 participants from over 60 countries. Among them are government officials, business leaders, and over 1,100 journalists, creating a vibrant atmosphere of dialogue and collaboration.

As the theme for this year’s forum, "Asia in the Changing World Towards a Shared Future," suggests, the discussions center around the pressing need for enhanced cooperation among Asian nations, especially in the face of increasing global protectionism. During the opening session, former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who serves as the chairman of the BFA, underscored the event's significance, which exemplifies the critical importance of free trade and globalization in today’s economy.
