Flagship Lab Services Enhances Mobile Lab Equipment Support in Major U.S. Cities
Expansion of Services by Flagship Lab Services
Flagship Lab Services has recently broadened its mobile laboratory equipment offerings across three key U.S. cities: San Diego, San Francisco, and Boston. This strategic move is a part of the company’s ongoing commitment to support biotechnology and research clients located in some of America’s busiest Life Sciences hubs.
The expansion is particularly significant as it builds upon Flagship's acquisition in 2023 of Biotechnical Services, Inc. (BTS), an established name in the field with over 35 years of experience in lab equipment calibration, repair, and validation services. With this acquisition, Flagship aimed to integrate BTS’s expertise into its operations, providing a more robust service to its clients worldwide.
Don Toole, the Chief Revenue Officer of Flagship, expressed that incorporating BTS into Flagship was a pivotal move. He noted that the union brought in a seasoned team with strong connections within the laboratory community, along with a solid reputation built on precision and reliability. The company's vision is to scale that expertise utilizing Flagship's expansive national infrastructure, thereby enhancing the support offered to Life Sciences leaders within the newly targeted cities.
In conjunction with this expansion, Flagship Lab Services has unveiled a dedicated microsite for their Lab Equipment Services. This online platform streamlines the process for Lab Managers to request essential services such as calibration, validation, repair, or preventive maintenance. With a dedicated team of Flagship technicians, the company now supports a variety of critical lab instruments. These include centrifuges, incubators, biosafety cabinets, cold storage units, and sequencers, which are crucial for laboratory operations.
Michael Park, the Vice President of Flagship Lab Services, shared insights about the challenges laboratories are facing currently. With funding uncertainties and operational pressures growing, he emphasized the importance of providing accredited and responsive support to ensure that their critical equipment operates smoothly and complies with existing regulations without the hassle of negotiating with multiple OEM vendors.
