KEIAI Real Estate’s Commitment to a Balanced Work Life
In a rapidly evolving job market, KEIAI Real Estate Co., Ltd., based in Honjo, Saitama Prefecture, is stepping up to enhance employee satisfaction through significant human resource policy changes aimed at promoting both productivity and well-being. Starting from April 1, 2026, the company, led by President Keiji Hanawa, will expand its annual paid leave from 115 days to 120 days and introduce a new hourly paid leave system. With this initiative, employees will have the flexibility to take leave in one-hour increments, catering to diverse personal needs.
Elevating Work Quality Through Strategic Time Off
This step of increasing annual holidays is designed to foster a culture of mindful work-life balance. By allowing structured breaks, employees can recharge and return to work with renewed focus. This policy applies across the board, encompassing all job roles, including sales teams, facilitating a comprehensive approach to time off management that encourages long vacations when needed.
Additionally, the introduction of hourly paid leave made it easier for employees to manage their personal commitments without losing out on their earnings. This reflects KEIAI's commitment to preserving a dynamic organizational culture where the focus is on maximizing productivity within limited timeframes.
Supporting Diverse Career Paths
Recognizing that careers are not one-size-fits-all, KEIAI is incorporating new job classifications to enhance its offerings. In addition to the traditional ‘General Position’ and ‘Area General Position,’ a new classification termed ‘General Staff’ will be introduced. This new category is designed to empower employees to choose a career path that aligns with their life circumstances, such as childcare or caregiving. This flexibility will not only help retain talent but also attract a diverse workforce.
To accommodate the evolving nature of employee duties, KEIAI will allow for career switches within classifications annually. This fluidity will help align employees’ strengths with business needs, enhancing overall performance.
Introducing Life Support Leave
Building on a recent employee survey, KEIAI is revamping its traditional sick leave policy by introducing “Life Support Leave.” This new policy extends beyond the existing conditions to include support for those undergoing fertility treatment and managing menopausal symptoms. The Life Support Leave is designed inclusively, allowing all employees, regardless of gender, to benefit from tailored provisions that address specific health needs. By doing so, KEIAI aims to ensure that all employees can maintain their productivity and feel supported at critical life stages.
Future Prospects
As part of its medium-term management plan for 2028, KEIAI focuses not only on strengthening its workforce but also on nurturing the next generation of leaders and encouraging further reforms in work styles, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). The latest changes in HR policies directly align with these priorities, establishing an environment conducive to employee performance and satisfaction.
KEIAI is dedicated to fostering a workplace where every individual’s talents are recognized and utilized to their fullest potential. The overarching goal remains to bolster sustainable growth and heighten corporate value, ultimately fulfilling the company’s vision of ensuring home ownership for everyone.
